HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG CORRECTLY
An accurate fit begins with accurate measurements. We recommend using a soft tailor’s measuring tape, placing it gently against your dog’s body without pulling it too tight or leaving it too loose, and following the natural contours of the body.
Measurements should always be taken directly on your dog’s body, without clothing.
KEY MEASUREMENT POINTS
NECK
Measure around the base of the neck, where a collar would naturally sit.
CHEST
This is the most important measurement when determining the correct size. Measure around the widest part of the chest, usually just behind the front legs.
BACK
Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, following the natural line of the back.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE
Once you have taken your dog’s measurements, compare them with our Size Chart. The measurements shown always refer to the dog’s actual body measurements, rather than to the garment itself. Each style is developed taking into consideration the characteristics of the fabric, including its stretch, thickness and the construction of the garment.
Our sizing system has been developed through a particularly meticulous study of fit, with carefully calibrated increments between consecutive sizes to provide the greatest possible accuracy when selecting the right size.
If your dog’s measurements fall between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size, paying particular attention to the chest measurement, which remains the key reference for a comfortable fit.
Every dog, however, has unique proportions. If your dog’s body shape differs from standard proportions, or if you are simply unsure about the correct size, please contact us before purchasing. We will be happy to personally advise you and help you find the most suitable fit.
